How do I book an appointment?
What happens if I arrive late to my appointment?
Please give us a call if you’re running behind. If you’re more than 5 minutes late, we may need to shorten or reschedule your service out of respect for other guests. If a service is shortened due to a late arrival, the original full price will still apply.
What is your cancellation policy?
We kindly ask that cancellations be made at least 12 hours in advance.
- Cancelling or rescheduling within 12 hours will result in a 50% charge of the scheduled services.
- No-shows will be charged 100% of the service cost.
- A 20% gratuity will be applied to all late-cancellation and no-show charges.
These fees help ensure our technicians are fairly compensated for reserved time.
How do group appointments work?
To inquire about group availability, please contact us at info@happyvioletdc.com.
- Groups of 3–5 guests require a credit card on file.
- For groups larger than 5, we may require partial salon rental depending on the date and time.
Cancellations or service changes within 24 hours will be charged in full, plus 20% gratuity. If a group member is more than 10 minutes late, their service may be forfeited but will still be charged in full with gratuity.
Can I host a private event at the salon?
Yes! We offer space for private parties, celebrations, and community gatherings. Email us at info@happyvioletdc.com with your request and we’ll share availability and pricing.
What’s different about a waterless manicure or pedicure?
Instead of soaking hands or feet, we use warm towel wraps and hydrating treatments to prep your nails. This method reduces the risk of infection, strengthens nails, and conserves water—making it better for you and the planet.
What does "low tox" mean?
Our services use standard 10-free nail polishes that have removed the most harmful ingredients from the polish. Please ask our staff if you want more information.
Do you offer services for kids?
Do you offer gel or nail extensions?
Yes! We offer Gel X extensions—an innovative, lightweight, and less damaging alternative to acrylics, as well as traditional gel manicures and pedicures.
Is lavender used in all of your services?
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and cash. We do not accept checks at this time.
Do you have a phone policy in the salon?
Yes. To maintain a peaceful space for all, we ask that phones be set to silent or vibrate. Please avoid taking calls while enjoying your service—this is your time to unplug and relax.
